Special note: Our EXPO space is getting filled quickly! Student organizations who wish to participate in the EXPO must register by no later than Friday, February 23. If our space fills up before that time, we may be unable to accept late EXPO registrants.
What is the WiSE EXPO all about?
Texas State University's WiSE Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 2, 2018. In addition to participants from Texas State, we are inviting regional colleges and high schools in order to promote Texas State's undergraduate and graduate STEM programs.
One of the highlights of our conference is the WiSE EXPO, which will showcase science and engineering student groups and STEM-related organizations and their activities/interests.
We are actively seeking STEM organization participation in the conference and invite you to develop and present a hands-on activity or engaging demonstration for conference attendees. Activities should be geared toward participant inclusion and participation. This is your organization’s opportunity to showcase and share a particularly interesting facet of STEM with the conference attendees!
How can my organization participate?
The EXPO will be held in the afternoon on the day of the conference (Friday, 3/2) in the LBJ Student Center. EXPO time will be from 1:30-3:00.
Each organization will have a 6-foot table reserved for your group's interactive, hands-on science or engineering activity that can be shared with conference attendees. In addition, we ask that you display a poster with the name of your organization and institution. It can include (but not required) pictures, stories, and fun information about your organization, and it automatically enters your group to be eligible for the People's Choice Award!
